It is with great sadness that the family of Judy Gayle Smith announces her passing after an extended illness, on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the age of 72.
A celebration of life in memory of Judy is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bridgeway Church in Beaufort, officiated by Chaplain Patrick Whaley. A fellowship with family and friends will follow.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 29 years, Jeffery Allen Smith; children, Angela Willis Boyd and husband Ernie and Kirby “Buddy” Gray Willis Jr.; stepson, Jason Allen Smith; stepdaughter Jodie Ann Smith; and sisters, Peggy Jones and husband Jimmy and Beverly Duncan and husband Arnold. Judy will also be fondly remembered by her four grandchildren, Austin Willis, Avery Willis, Ansley Willis and Jase Smith.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Needham and Edna Stroud; beloved husband and father of her children, Curby Willis; and two brothers, Haywood Stroud and Thomas Cade.
