Charles 'Charlie' William Lord

Obituary Charles "Charlie" Lord passed away on May 3, 2021, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House. Charlie was surrounded by his loving family, spouse of fifty-one years, Cynthia "Cindy" Lord and Larry Lord, both of Newport, North Carolina. Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Charlie was a skilled meat-cutter who relocated to North Carolina thirty-one years ago to work for the USDA. Charlie enjoyed animals, nurturing friendships in his coastal community, cooking, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his spouse, Cindy; and son, Larry; grandchild, Taylor; sisters, Patty Lewis, Diane Bier, Elaine Howe, Bonnie Killen and Kathy Ashenfelter; brother, Don Lord. Charlie was proceeded in death by brother, Thomas Lord. The family would like to thank Crystal Coast Hospice House for their compassionate care as well as friends of the community for the love and support the last few weeks.
