Charlotte Dugee

Charlotte Dugee, 70, of Newport, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport. Charlotte was born and raised in Newport and was proud of her roots. She was adored by everyone that had the privilege of having her in their lives. Her smile and laughter were contagious. She loved her family with all her heart. Her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren were her life. Charlotte enjoyed and was employed in the dental field for over 37 years which was a lifelong passion for her. She was a devoted member of Reeces Chapel in Mill Creek. Her love and faith in the Lord are what kept her spirits high through all of lifes struggles. A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00PM on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Reeces Chapel in Mill Creek with Pastor James "Winkie" Chadwick and Bobby Lowery officiating. A potluck dinner at the church hall will follow. Charlotte is survived by her adoring children, Denise White Whan of Newport and Anthony "Tony" Scott White of Morehead City; a granddaughter, Samantha Ann Mercer of Newport; two great-grandsons, Cody Raymond and Easton Johnson both of Newport; and a great-granddaughter, Riley Evans of Newport. She also had several cousins that she adored. She was preceded in death by her brother, Parrish 'Mickey' Wells; and grandson, Brandon Mercer White. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service.
