Joseph 'Joey' W. Giffin

Joseph "Joey" W. Giffin, 57, of Newport, NC passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2017 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern. Mr. Giffin was a Quality Control Supervisor for Class Act Painting Co. He was a member of the Crystal Coast Pool League and loved the Carolina Tar Heels and the Dallas Cowboys. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00pm 7:00pm on Saturday January 14, 2017 at Bridgeway Church in Beaufort, NC. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Pittman) Giffin of the home; son, Brandon Giffin of the home; Sisters, Karen Costa of New Bern and Teresa Hughes of Georgia; honorary brother, Robert Ligas; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins Mr. Giffin was preceded in death by his parents Theodore ad Myrtis Barnes.
