Ada Graham Hinson, 95, of Beaufort, affectionately known as "Mama Ada" and "the Lead Lady,"passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at her home.
A respected figure in her community, Mrs. Hinson was the owner and operator of Woolard Lead Co. of Beaufort from 1967 to 1997. Through three decades of dedicated work, she built a reputation for leadership and perseverance, earning the nickname “the Lead Lady” among those who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Oceanview Cemetery in Beaufort.
She is survived by her two sons, Bruce Wayne Cox of Beaufort; Jerry Cox and wife, Lecia of Beaufort; four granddaughters, Leigh Long and husband, Bill of Beaufort; Allison Williams and husband, Aaron of Beaufort; Christina Avent of Beaufort; Tracey Watts of Beaufort; and two great grandchildren, Max and Annie Williams of Beaufort; brother, John Graham and wife, Christine of Charleston, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Graham; her seven brothers and seven sisters, and her husband, Gerald Woolard.
