Anthony "Tony" Morris

Anthony Allen Morris, 59, of Morehead City, passed away Wednesday, August 27,2025, at Novant Health in Wilmington. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

Anthony, or " Tony" as family and close friends called him had a long career as a carpenter. There wasn't many places from Carteret County to New York City he hadn't had a hand in helping to build. He was well liked by all who knew him as he was very humble and kind-hearted. Always ready with a smile or to lend a hand.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Vicki Morris, his father, Roger Morris his son, Anthony Allen Morris ll, and his wife Danielle Morris.

A Gathering of Friends in Tony's memory will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Crab Point Free Will Baptist Church in Morehead City, NC. 

He leaves behind 1 daughter, Kerrington Morris of New York, 1 aunt, Barbara Cox of Morehead City, 1 uncle, Joe Morris of Morehead City, 3 brothers: Donnie Morris of Beulaville, NC, Peter Morris of Havelock, NC, and Paul Morris of Spring Hope, NC. One sister, Meg Bridgers of Beaufort, NC, 2 nieces; Emily Moss of Illinois and Elizabeth Morris of South River. A special cousin, Janelle Morris, also of Morehead City, NC and a nephew, Joshua Morris of Spring Hope, NC. Tony also leaves behind a loving and long-time companion, Sherry Morris, and a grandson, Levi.
