Charles Scott

Charles "Charlie" Scott, 76, of Harkers Island, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh.

Charlie was a veteran, having served in the US Coast Guard.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Maranatha Church in Beaufort with Pastors Jamison Plank and Stewart Quesenberry officiating. Burial will follow at Armecia Lewis Cemetery on Harkers Island.

He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Scott of Garner; son, Beau Scott; grandchildren, Anna Duncan and husband, Josh of Fayetteville; Laura Grossheim of Wilmington; Morgan Grossheim of Garner; sister, Nettie Styron of Harkers Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna Earl Scott and Milton Scott; his wife, Sue Piner Scott; sister, Priscilla Lewis; two brothers, Milton Eddie Scott and Teddy Scott.
