Dale Patrick Hocker

Dale Patrick Hocker, age 71, of Beaufort, NC, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026 at the SECU Hospice House in Newport, NC after a courageous fight against declining health.

Dale was a Navy veteran, interested in gardening, fishing, had an oyster permit for his pier, and an environmentalist. He served the U.S. postal service for 40+ years before retiring.

Dale was the son of the late Lee and Helen Hocker and was predeceased by his beloved son Matthew C. Hocker.

Dale is survived by his 30 year life partner, Sandy Franz; son, Blake L. Hocker; sister, Rebecca H. Bernard; and two grandchildren.
