Desmond Antwan Milburn-Jones

Desmond Antwan Milburn-Jones, 47, of Havelock, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Memorial Hermman Hospital, in Houston, TX at 3:38pm.

A visitation will be held from 2-3:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City. A repass will be held at the home.

Desmond was born to Michael Logan and the late Arletha B. George on November 30, 1978 in Houston, TX.

Desmond is preceded in death by a loving grandmother Mae Francis Logan, a special uncle Vincent Logan, both of Houston, TX, and a great-grandmother Magnolia Seawood of Shreveport, Louisiana.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife of 13 years Matilda Milburn-Jones of the home; two children, Ashley Ellison (Antonio) of Havelock, NC, and Jordan Ellison of the home; four grandchildren, whom Desmond loved and cherished, Remi Speight, Skylar Speight, Antonio Speight Jr., and Kacey Speight, all of Havelock, NC; a mother-in-law, Mamie R. Ellison, a father-in-law, James W. Ellison, both of Beaufort, NC; two brothers-in-law, James M. Ellison (Charmain), of Havelock, NC, and Roderick Ellison, of Beaufort, NC; sister-in-law, Lanisha Oden, of Beaufort, NC; three sisters, Kizzy Smith, Julia Mills (Kelly), and Auronia Jones, all of Houston, TX; two God children, Ishajaleah Thomas of Heavelock, NC, and Saniyah Morris, of Beaufort, NC; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and family members.

Desmond was devoted to his family and valued the relationships he shared closest to him. His life was marked by commitment to those he loved. His memory will live on through the lives he touched.
