Eleanor Price Hinson, 85, of Beaufort, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Rex Hospital of Raleigh.
Eleanor was a member of Otway Christian Church and loved her Lord and Savior.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Otway Christian Church, 242 Gillikin Road, Beaufort, NC 28516, with Pastor Jack Mumford officiating. A burial will take place at 12:00 pm on Friday at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the church. A video recording of the funeral service will be available below after the service concludes.
She is survived by her husband, John Hinson of Beaufort; daughter, Kimberly Roberts of Wake Forest; stepson, Ronnie Price and wife, Tammy of Clayton; stepson Donald Price; stepdaughter, Bonnie Hudnall and husband, Patrick of Clayton; grandson, Clinton Hobbs and wife, Jamie of Wilmington; grandson, Michael Kyle Leshko of Garner; granddaughter, Ashley Barham and significant other, Colin Smith of Abingdon, MD; granddaughter, Mallory Morris of Wake Forest; step-grandchildren, Jody Price and wife Cheyenne Price, Jan Currin and husband Steven Currin, Tracy Thompson and husband Jake Thompson, Travis Price and wife Susan Price, Bryson Boyett and husband Kameron Boyett, Payton Hall and husband Remy Hall, and Delaney Hudnall; two great granddaughters, Eleanor and Ava Hobbs of Wilmington; brother, Larry Barbour and wife, JoAnn of Smithfield; brother, EJ Barbour of Smithfield; sister, Veronica Johnson of Greenville, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Mary Barbour; her husband, Walter Price; daughter, Janet Leshko; sister, Laverne Hughes; sister, Evelyne Lassiter; sister, Freda Fail; brother, Hubert Earl “Toady” Barbour; brother, Lincoln Barbour; brother, Mellie Gene Barbour.
