Janie Hardesty

Janie Sonnett Hardesty, 50, of Cary, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday June 17, 2024, at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church on Monday.

She is survived by her fiancé, Christopher Simmons of Cary; son, Christopher Simmons III of Cary; daughter, Nicola Simmons of Cary; brother, Aaron Hardesty of Beaufort; cousin, Denise Hardesty of Raleigh; nephew, Marcellus Williams of Havelock; sister-in-law, Jacqueline of Cary.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sammy Fenderson; mother, Mamie Cox and husband, Leroy; sister, Deidra Hardesty.
