John Frederick Smith, 56, of Beaufort, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
John was a US Army veteran.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home of Morehead City, with a time of sharing and Military Honors at 3:00pm.
John is survived by his wife, Lene Smith of Beaufort; daughter, Lessie Carter of Georgia; two grandchildren; his God parents, Georgiana and Howard Velten of Florida; his biological father, Don Knap and wife, Donna of Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Smith.
