Mallory McGehee Roach

Mallory McGehee Roach, 96, of New Bern, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026at PruittHealth Crystal Coast in Beaufort.

Mallory served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he pursued a career as an engineer with Duke Power Company, where he contributed his expertise and dedication for many years. Beyond his professional life, Mallory was an active member of his church community in Kernersville, demonstrating a commitment to faith and fellowship.

A private burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, NC.

He is survived by his son, David Roach and wife, Debbie of Beaufort; daughter, Mallory Turner and husband Sammy of Kernersville; two grandchildren, David Roach Jr. of Morehead City; Krystal Pittman and husband, Will of Beaufort; two grandchildren of Kernersville; two great grandchildren, Hank and June Pittman of Beaufort, several nieces and nephews; and his best friend Mark Matics of Kernersville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Mary Roach; son, Tracy Gordon Roach; brother, Albert Roach and wife, Barbara; sister, Barbara Amoriello and her husband, Sam; brother, Ira Roach Jr.
