Marvin Tomlin

Marvin Eugene Tomlin, 56, of Beaufort, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City.

Marvin was employed by the New Hanover County School System as a Mechanic with the Transportation Department. He was a faithful member of Ephesus SDA of Wilmington, NC before becoming a part of Faith Tabernacle of Praise of Beaufort, NC.

Marvin's greatest joy was traveling with his wife, where their days were filled with simple pleasures of taking long walks, community service and of course the delight of a great meal.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Bridgeway Church of Beaufort with Bishop Donald Crooms officiating. Entombment will follow at Faith Tabernacle of Praise Church Cemetery. A livestreamed version of the service will be available below for those unable to attend. 

He is survived by his wife, Catrice Murrell Tomlin of Beaufort; brother, Willie Toney and wife, Penny of Virginia; sister, Ola Mae Toney Fredlaw and husband, Cleon of Wilmington; special nieces, Keysha Chadwick and Kimberly Peters; and a host of other nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Pastor Guy M. Murrell and wife, Lana of Beaufort; brother-in-law, Rodney Murrell and wife, Laveria of Beaufort; father-in-law, Curtis Murrell of Beaufort.

Two very special friends: Jereomy Dunn of Georgia and SiFred Mitchell of Los Angeles, CA. Also, a very special friend of the Tomlin's, Ms. Katrina Montague 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Tomlin; brother, Michael Toney.
