Patricia "Patty" June Loftin

Patricia "Patty" June Loftin, 70, of Beaufort, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Cape Carteret Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior at the church.

A proud graduate of Pamlico High School in the Class of 1974, Patricia built a life rooted in faith, family, and service. For 49 years, she shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Glen Loftin of Beaufort.

Patricia was a dedicated member of Cape Carteret Baptist Church for 28 years. Her contributions to her church community were profound; she served as both pianist and choir director, sharing her musical talents to enrich worship services. She also found fulfillment in helping with the senior adult ministry, and was involved in the children's music ministry as well.

Patricia’s passion for both the Lord, and her community shined through her actions; most notably her formation of both a lady's singing group, The Heartnotes, in the late 90s, and The Shepherd’s Men, a men’s quartet group, using her musical talents to share the gospel among her community.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her through her music, her steadfast faith in the Lord, and the many lives she touched through her kindness. 

Patricia is survived by her husband, Glen Loftin; her sons Josh Loftin and Tyler Loftin; brother George Jarvis; three sisters: Barbara Jarvis, Janet Hammond, and Penny Jarvis; mother Nina C. Jarvis; as well as her grand-corgi Lily.

She was preceded in death by her father George Jarvis.
