Peggy Joyce Lewis Spencer, 81, of Fairmont, NC, originally of Beaufort passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Carteret House of Newport. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Lumberton, NC. A private burial will take place at Oceanview Cemetery of Beaufort. She is survived by her son, Edwin Kenneth Spencer; daughter, Emily Katherine Harris; sister, Mary Emma Garner of Morehead City; brother, Alfred Lewis of Mosspoint, MS; dear friend, Nelda Freeman of Lumberton, NC; half-brother, Howard Lewis of MS; half-sister, Rhoda Lewis Allred of Beaufort; half-sister, Jo Frances of AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emily Lewis; sister, Margaret Boyd.
