Peter Meislohn

Peter “Pete” Meislohn, 71, of Beaufort, passed away on July 19, 2026 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City.

Peter was the manager and co-owner of Eastland Farms in South Hampton, NY, a role he dedicated himself to for over 40 years. He also enjoyed helping his wife run their shop Calypso Cottage, in Beaufort, where they created a warm and welcoming space for their community.

Peter had a passion for his three Harley-Davidson motorcycles and cherished time spent riding them. He was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing and shooting at the range. Peter also had a deep love for his dogs—Lilly, Sidney, Tillie, and Ruger—who brought him great companionship over the years.

A simple yet beloved man, Peter will be remembered fondly by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Stacie Meislohn of Beaufort; stepdaughter Lauren Barta, of Southampton, NY, stepson, Hunter JacksonBarta and wife, Nikki of Otway; beloved grandchildren, Skylar, Lillian Grace, and Harrison Barta; two sisters, Janet DeYoung and husband, Dick of Hingham, MA; Nancy Piazza and husband, Joe of Amherst, NY.
