Mill Creek

Emblem

Reggie Ethridge, 57, of Mill Creek, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at his home.

The man, the myth, the legend. Reggie was truly a man that embodied that phrase. He lived a legendary, full life.

Lovingly referred to as “the energizer bunny”, he never stopped. From being in full time ministry and Pastoring his church, Purpose Church, to hunting with his best friend, showing off his green thumb in his garden or cheering for Duke; he loved life. I think his favorite roles he embodied, however, were husband, Dad and Pop Pop.

He treated his wife as his queen and his daughters as princesses and loved showing up for them in whatever way he could. As a Pop Pop, no one could ever compare. He lit up with his grandbabies and they love him endlessly.

Reggie has impacted more people than any of us will ever truly know and a man that leaves a legacy that big surely has left a hole even bigger.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May the 24th at 4pm at Wave Church in Wilson, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Polishia Ethridge of Morehead City; daughter, Kayla Laster and husband, Kyle of Pleasant Garden, NC; daughter, Kelsey Escamilla and husband, Marco of Nashville, NC; Lauren Wiggs and husband, Seth of Aden, NC; grandchildren: Charlie, Elinore, Luca, Shylah, and Vallie; sister, Missy Farrell and husband, Todd of Whidbey Island, WA; brother, Raymond Johnson of Goldsboro; sister, Jerri Mozingo of Goldsboro; sister, Rene Savage and husband, Del of Pikeville; sister, Kay Bailey of Pikeville; sister, Annette Stevens and husband, Chris of Pikeville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
