Rosemary Parkin Lewis, 70, of Beaufort, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City.
Rosemary was a lifelong resident of the community she loved, growing up on Front Street, where her radiant smile and generous spirit became well-known. She cherished her childhood memories and often reminisced about the carefree days spent with her cousins at Harkers Island, a place that held a special place in her heart for its beauty and the family bonds it represented.
With a natural affinity for nurturing, Rosemary found her calling in caring for children. She was a beloved babysitter to many, and the children she cared for was not just a job but became an integral part of her life. Her love for children was evident in the way she dedicated herself to their growth and happiness, creating a lasting impact on many young lives.
A service will be at a later date.
She is survived by her daughter, Kalicia Lewis of Beaufort; her two grandchildren that she loved very much, Hannah Holden and Blake Goncalves; her significate other, Buddy Aldridge of Beaufort; two brothers, Rudy Parkin and wife, Barbara of Beaufort; brother, Roger Lee Parkin of Beaufort; niece, Michelle Nelson and son, Chase of Newport; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; her best furry friend, Cowboy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Babe and Barbara Parkin; son, Kenny Lewis Jr.; niece, Kim Parkin.
