Sallie Page Robenolt

Sallie Page Robenolt, 89, of Morehead City, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City.

 A service will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00am.

Sallie was born in Smithfield, NC, October 4, 1935, to Annette and John Ives, the youngest of six children. The family moved to Raleigh several years later. She graduated from Broughton High School and earned her nursing degree from Duke University. She worked in the blood bank at Rex Hospital in Raleigh before moving to Carteret County to fill a nursing position at Sea Level Hospital for several years. 

In the late fifties, she joined the Air Force and served for four years, before being honorably discharged after the birth of her son. Moving back to Raleigh, she was employed by NC State University in the poultry research division until her retirement. She then moved to Beaufort to be close to family. Sallie enjoyed traveling, first solo and later with nieces and friends. She was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Beaufort, serving on various committees.

Sallie is survived by her son, James Robenolt and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, brother, and their spouses: Liza and James Stoner, John (Bunny) and Hazel Ives, Anne and Reg Adams, Sabra and Pat Schell, and Sue Ives.

The family wishes to thank the medical staff of Carteret Health Care, who treated Sallie with such care and dignity. And, especially, the wonderful people at Brookdale Senior Living, who made the past year and a half such a positive and inclusive experience for her.
