Marcie Guthrie, 58, of Newport passed away Tuesday July 14, 2015 at her home. The family will celebrate her life privately. She is survived by her fianc, Melvin Shields of Newport; three sons, Nathan Hargis, Watson Guthrie, and Joshua Guthrie all of Newport; seven grandchildren; sister, Paula Heuck of Franklin, KY. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Vivian Smith; brother, Walter McKinney; grandmother, Mabel Miller.
