Susie Mayers, 89, of Beaufort, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Faith Tabernacle of Praise in Beaufort. A burial will follow at Oceanview Cemetery in Beaufort.

She is survived by her son, Edward Mayers of Beaufort; son, Richard Mayers and wife, Ramona of Newark, NJ; daughter, Roxanne Mayers of Beaufort; son, Brian Mayers and wife, Toni of Fayetteville; son, Kwan Mayers of Fayetteville; daughter, Helena Gore and husband, Keith of Arizona; six grandchildren: Ronnie, Christopher, Geretha, Bartholomew, Gabriel, Sean, and Christian; and a host of great and great -great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marva James of Havelock; Shirley Hines of Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Odessa Ellison; husband, George Mayers; five sisters: Royce, Laverna, Ingrid, Vickie, Yvonne; son, Thaddeus Mayers; daughter, Luv Mayers.
