William "Jake" Clifton Rose Jr.

William “Jake” Clifton Rose Jr., 60, of Harkers Island, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Carteret Health Care of Morehead City.

Jake worked as a commercial fisherman. He was known for his love of NASCAR and always pulled for Bill Elliot. Jake was a loving, gentle brother. 

 A private service will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his sister, Belma Tunstall and husband, Henry of Harkers Island; sister, JoAnne Courtney of Harkers Island; brother, James “Mike” Rose of Harkers Island; nephew, Austin Courtney of Harkers Island; brother-in-law, Kenny Courtney of Ohio; uncle, Lloyd “Mike” Rose and aunt Gwen of Straits; uncle, Robert Paul Willis of Harkers Island; and his several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Tilboy” Rose Sr. and Belma Gillikin Rose.
