Betty was a member of Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest before moving to Morehead City where she became a member of Open Door Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, LouAnn K. Wilkins of Morehead City; grandson, Chad Hardison and his wife Julie of Knightdale; great granddaughter, Breana Hardison; brother, Hugh Smith and his wife Ethel of Apex; sisters, Judy Kimbrough of Stem; Jean S. Poe and her husband Doug of Apex; step-grandchildren, Bradley, Jonathan and Brian; great grandson, Broughton; and a host of extended family. And a special thanks to her sister-in-law, Martha Kelbaugh, for all of her invaluable help during these very difficult and stressful days.
