Obituary
Elizabeth Iris Hutson, 92, of Harkers Island, passed away on May 18, 2023 at the SECU Hospice House Smithfield, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Straits Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Chadwick officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Straits Methodist Cemetery.
Liz was a United States Army Korean War-era Veteran, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known for her bright, beautiful, blue eyes,
She is survived by a sister, Susanna Thompson, a brother, Frederick Fitch, four children, Cathy Hutson, Michael Hutson, Mark Hutson, and Robert Hutson II, eight grandchildren, Terra Kridler, Erik Hutson, Stacey Griffith, Pete Hutson, Charles Barnes, Ashley Hutson, Benjamin Barnes, and Rachael Hutson, and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert D. Hutson, mother Iris Fitch, and brother Robert Fitch.
