Obituary
Mary Belle Murray George, 61, of Beaufort, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Duke Medical Univ. Hospital in Durham.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church of North River. Entombment will follow at the Elbert Murray Sr. Cemetery in North River.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony George of Beaufort; son, John Ward Jr. and wife, Sherry of Wilson Mills, NC; daughter, Keianaka George (significant other: Jashawn) of Beaufort; grandson, Jeremiah Ward of Wilson Mills; sister, Ophelia Fulford and husband, Walter of North River; brother, Roy Murray and wife, Lillian of North River; brother, Dallas Murray and wife, Faye of Fayetteville; brother, Richard Murray of North River, one aunt Emma Ross of Cleveland, OH; one uncle Hezekiah Nolen (Betty) of Beaufort; six sisters-in-law, Colleen Murray of Newport, Mary Murray of Fayetteville, NC; Hazel and Roseine George both of Havelock, NC and Amelia George of Newport, and Elizabeth George of Beaufort, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Mary Murray; six brothers and two sisters.
